Bulgarian real estate market: the optimistic results of Q3

6% growth - such is the rate in property prices in Bulgarian capital Sofia, for the first nine months of 2015. The number of completed transactions increased by 20% compared to the same period of last year.

The average cost per square meter of housing in the capital amounted to € 781 (last year the figure was € 738). Up to the end of September 16,838 real estate transactions has been closed (13 888 - in the same period of 2014). In the third quarter the average price of apartments in Sofia amounted to € 66 500.

As for the other regions of the country, the three main centers - Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas, also show steady growth. In the second city of the country, Plovdiv, total quantity of transactions increased by 5% over the first 9 months of 2015, reaching € 570 average cost per square meter. The housing cost has increased by 4.5%.

As for Varna, the average price per square meter reached € 800 - this is the only Bulgarian Black Sea resort, where the prices are comparable with the capital. The total price growth is 6%.

Cost per square meter of housing in Burgas rose to € 600. Number of completed transactions increased by 5%.
