By the end of June 2016 mortgage in Bulgaria continues to decrease. The average rate of the Bulgarian National Bank amounted to 4,97% (in local currency).
As for the mortgage loans in foreign currency, they gradually lose their attractiveness. Per month rate rose from 5.61% to 5.75%. A year ago, in June 2015 the mortgage in the foreign currency was offered at the rate of 6.14%.
The interest on the mortgage in BGN has been declining during the year. In June 2015, borrowers took out loans with rate of 5.77% per annum, and in May 2016 - of 5.03%.
According to the expert Kostadina Jigova, over time credit conditions will become even softer, mortgage will become cheaper. The population will start to buy real estate with the assistance of mortgage loans more actively.
